Register for the test

The test is not directly dependent on the information a student obtains from courses except for basic arithmetic and linguistics; Accordingly, it does not require prior preparation, but rather depends on the cultural outcome and accumulated life experiences, with the need to see the method of questions and how to answer them. Nor does the test require complex calculations; It adopts easy numbers whose operations are performed mentally or in simple ways. What helps the student in taking the test is knowing the nature of the test and its precise aspects through the correct sources, which are:

Knot times:

The authority holds the aptitude test in two periods: the first, during the first semester, and the second, during the second semester. The student has the right to register and attend the test at the appropriate time, during the two test periods, and in the city in which he lives, or in the city close to it, noting that the test is held in morning and evening periods:

  • Morning period: The test begins in all test centers at half past seven (7.30) in the morning, and it is preferable to attend at least half an hour before the start of the test. Those who attend after 7:30 in the morning will not be able to enter the examination hall.
  • Evening period: Attendance for the examination begins in all testing centers half an hour (30 minutes) after the Maghrib azan time according to the Umm al-Qura calendar in each city. The test is in it, and it continues until one hour has passed from the time of the Maghrib azan, and no student who arrives after that will be allowed to enter the examination hall.

As for registering for the computerized test, it is at any time throughout the year.

General Tips:

  • Follow the authority’s website for information on the test locations and dates.
  • Make sure that you attend the place, day, and time you registered to take the test. When you arrive at the test center, go to the person responsible for your test group in the reception committee; To review the papers and documents you carry, and to ensure that the necessary conditions for taking the test are met. Then, you will be allowed to enter the examination hall and instruct you to sit in a seat designated for you in advance.
  • After the students’ entry to the hall is completed, question notebooks will be distributed containing the answer sheet, which is a form that is read by a scanner; So keep it safe. Thereafter and based on the instructions of the hall supervisor; In conjunction with your colleagues, you will fill out the first side (personal information page) of the form. The second side (the answer page). Listen carefully to the room supervisor’s instructions on how to fill it out. After that, everyone will be allowed to open the question notebooks and start the exam.
  • If you have any questions or requests for help, you only have to raise your hand to help someone from the supervisors come to help you.
  • All exam questions are of type Multiple choice (a, b, c, d), and the student should shade the letter circle corresponding to the correct answer for each question on the answer sheet with an HB-2 pencil,  The use of a liquid or dry ink pen is never permitted. Pencils will be distributed in the examination hall, and it is preferable that the student bring with him an HB-2 pencil and an eraser, as a precaution.  
  • In the case of the paper-based test, there will be approximately sixty (60) minutes between entering the room and the start of the examination; So the student should be prepared to sit for about three and a half hours. In the case of the computerized test, the test procedures require the student to be present 15 minutes before the test date, so the student must be prepared to sit approximately two hours and forty-five minutes (2:45).
  • The test is made up of sections, and the Each section is allocated only (25) minutes. The room supervisor will alert you to the start time of answering each section, as well as the end of the time allotted to it. Remember that you can only answer and review the questions for that section and within the time period specified for each section, and you are never allowed to go back or look at a previous section or go to a later section. Any violation of this will expose you to deprivation from continuing the test. 
  • If the student is not satisfied with his performance in the test, he may take it more than once, but in different periods.
