Introduction:
Graduate studies (post-university) require mental abilities that enable the student to pass the requirements of the study paths, regardless of specialization.
The capacity test is a standardized measure for all university students to be a fair and accurate standard for all, which helps educational institutions that have graduate programs to choose the students who are most mentally able to follow up and meet the requirements of study in those bodies
The test measures the analytic and inferential abilities of university graduates, ie it focuses on knowledge of learnability regardless of particular proficiency in a particular subject. It is presented in Arabic.
Test Objective:
Measuring the analytical and inferential ability of university graduates, and knowing their susceptibility to further educational attainment, by measuring the ability to:
- Reading with deep understanding.
- Recognize the logical structure of linguistic expressions.
- Inference.
- Deduction.
- Realization of relationships Logical, spatial and non-spatial.
- Analysis.
- Induction.
- Interpretation of results.
- Solving problems based on basic mathematical concepts.< /li>
The test consists of five sections: (verbal , quantitative, critical thinking , shapes, and logic)
It also aims to:
- Identify students who have research skills and abilities that increase their chances of success in graduate programs.
- Introduce the student to his or her level of mental abilities important for post-graduate education.
- Presentation A criterion to be added to the rest of the criteria used to select postgraduate students.
It is well known that prestigious universities in the world used to require tests similar to this test on students applying to their graduate programs, such as the test known as (GRE)
